Forever Jung

I’m in the midst of reading Are You My Mother? – an autobiographical graphic novel by Alison Bechdel. It’s replete with Freudian and Jungian themes and motifs. Coincidentally, yesterday I listened to Synchronicity by the Police for the first time in years, an album replete with Jungian references. After putting down the Bechdel book late last night, I picked up the latest New Yorker to find a two-page story by…Alison Bechdel. Then I remembered that the album Synchronicity includes the unsettling song Mother.
